This Third Single is All I Ever Wanted Too
The third and final single off the current IAmTheRain album "The Backsnap Effect" is only few days ahead. Schlag den Eule - Short Summary
Schlag den Eule I
Timeline: 09.01.2009, 9 p.m. - 3:30 a.m.
Contestants: Dave Zwinkmann vs Eule
Hosts: Cliff & Acid D!
Audience: Faiza, Sandra, Lara, Andrea, Martin, Toji, Tini, Anja
1. SCHÄTZEN
Both had to estimate certain answers to certain questions, Eule caught a narrow advantage and won the game. 1:0 for Eule.
2. 1 ½ BIFI & 1 BRÖTCHEN
Both had to eat a roll and some mini-salami in time. Dave, who ate a whole pizza earlier, struggled with this game and surrendered. 3:0 for Eule.
3. SONGS RATEN
The dudes, being blind, had to guess the right artist and interpret. Easy win for Eule, who guessed most songs right. 6:0 for Eule!
4. QUIZ
A narrow 7:6 win for Eule in this quiz, which extended his lead and motivation only further. 10:0 for Eule at this point!
5. SPRINT
The main outdoor event. Both had to run over about 150 meters and Eule surprisingly almost won it, but Dave raced the game home in the last few inches. 10:5 for Eule!
6. VIDEO GAMES
A whole marathon of video games followed. First, both had to run the faster round in Need for Speed: Shift and Eule surprisingly hit the better time. Up next a lame 0:0 in Pro Evolution Soccer was discarded from the game, followed up by Beautiful Katamari on the PS3, where Dave built the bigger...thing in 2 minutes. The next game, Mega Man 9, was also discarded, because both contestants lost all their lives at the third elephant in the demo stage. The deciding game was Lego Batman, where Dave managed to score only few thousand points more than Eule, winning the whole match. 11:10 for Dave at this point!
7. LIMBO DANCE
Both started at 1.20 meters and easily managed to go down to 95 cm, where the trouble for Eule started. Finally, Dave easily beat the 92 cm mark, while Eule failed his three chances. 18:10 for Dave!
8. GUESS THE CELEBRITY
Pictures of famous or not so famous people had to be guessed right, and Dave won after Eule failed to come up with the name James Hetfield after 20 pictures. 26:10 for Dave!
9. SCHACH
Chess time! Both were fit in the game, but Eule, relying on more experience, checkmated Dave after only about eight minutes. 26:19 for Dave at this point.
10. WORKOUT
Dave was the stronger contestant in push-ups and chin-ups, while Eule could equalize by holding free weights for a few more seconds. 36:19 for Dave.
11. SCHNICKSCHNACKSCHNUCK-MARATHON
Dave didn't waste his first opportunity to decide the evening and won a whole load of rock-paper-scissors with surprising ease. Final score: 47:19 for Dave!

IAmTheRain Sets Off Second Single
Second single off the new IAmTheRain album, comes with two previously unreleased songs and the instrumental version of the title song.

By the way, a still untitled third and final single off the album will be released in two more weeks, and a compilation album with bootleg songs and collected B-sides will follow up in March, closing the chapter for the whole IAmTheRain Backsnap Affair. More info on that here.

IAmTheRain: Second Single Revealed
IAmTheRain has revealed the second single off the album "The Backsnap Effect": the mellow rock tune "iinekonya", which is Japanese for either "Tonight's alright, is it?" or "Good cat, nya", but I still haven't figured that out."iinekonya" has been remastered and polished for the single, which also features two new songs called "The Longing (Part 1)" and "The Church Beneath The Wasteland", both previously unreleased demo recordings, and the title song's instrumental.

Merry Christmas!
I'm almost off till Sunday to visit my mom over the rare snowy holidays. The guys and I also have to prepare a little special event for early January.
My own Christmas present for you is my new mobile tumblr site, where I'll mostly upload pics and stuff taken on the way with my handy.

Djakpa Style
So my Borussia Dortmund team just came fresh out of the summer break and had its first game of the new season against Wolfsburg. I invested some good money in some cool new players to satisfy my championship ambitions once more with even more dominance, and start off in good mood against Wolfsburg (in white), when...
